Peihao joins the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management to pursue the Ph.D. study after acquiring bachelor degree in recreation at Indiana University Bloomington and master degree in international hospitality management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Peihao’s research focus on two themes: Service innovation & digitization and Experience Design & Management.

Peihao's work has been published in top tier journals such as: Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management.

Peihao also serves as a reviewer for hospitality and tourism journals, including Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology.

Peihao earned the Best Dissertation Proposal at ICHRIE Dissertation Competition, and the 3rd Place Award in the 2nd Year Paper Competition and Dean’s Outstanding Publication Award at Fox School of Business Roundtable Reception.

Peihao worked in different international hotel brands, such as SpringHill Suites Bloomington and Sheraton Qingdao, and occupied managerial roles in Candlewood Suites Bloomington and Park Hyatt Hangzhou.
