The Business Management Organization is a group of Temple students committed to immersing themselves in the Business Management world.
The purpose of this organization is to prepare Fox’s Business Management students (and interested students of other related majors) for their future management roles through ensuring exposure to many different business sectors, providing professional development opportunities (through case studies and workshops), and intermediating personal connections and networks via office visits, meetings lead by local professionals, partnerships with other Student Professional Organizations, and DECA competitions.
Temple BMO defines “being a manager” as an individual requiring a combination of leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively guide a team toward achieving its respective goals. Through analogy, we equate managers as individuals who can perform all roles within a team as needed but take the most efficiency in leading. We strive to provide opportunities for our members to grow their exposure to different professionals in management, issues within management, and how to grow as a leader themselves.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
DECA Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit student organization with more than 225,000 members in all 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, Germany, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain. The leadership passport rewards action taken by members and chapters that build personal and professional skill sets focused around the organization’s four attributes and values: competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. Members and chapters earning the various levels of passport success will be recognized at the International Career Development Conference.
