What is B4USoar?
  • B4USoar introduces Philadelphia Public and Charter High School students to high-quality education while illustrating how they can thrive in higher learning institutions. Juniors and seniors who are enrolled in one of the courses are supported by a Peer Mentor, a current college student, who helps them navigate technology, plan assignments and projects, offer study help and encouragement.
  • Students earn transferrable academic credits fully funded by the Fox School of Business and Management. They experience the academic and campus culture of Temple University and have access to the Temple Campus, Bookstore, Library and Student Activities Center.
Do I need to apply to get into the B4USoar classes?

B4USoar requires an application for admission. Apply here!

What time of day do the B4USoar courses take place?
  • B4USoar classes are scheduled during the fall and spring semesters.
  • Courses are typically two or three days a week and held in the afternoon.
What are class attendance requirements?

Students are required to attend all classes as indicated on the class syllabus regardless of their high school calendar closings including closings due to weather, holidays, PD days, etc.  When Temple holds classes, high school students are expected to attend, too. How do I access classrooms and buildings?

All registered B4USoar students are issued an OWLcard, Temple University’s ID card.  Your OWLcard allows access to campus buildings, classrooms and libraries. All Temple students are required to carry their OWLcard when on campus. Class locations are on the Temple Main Campus, 1800 North Broad Street.

What are the deadlines for the application/enrollment process?

The deadline to apply is November 1, 2024 or until the program fills.

How much does it cost to take a B4USoar class?

All B4USoar classes are tuition free, including required textbooks.  Students are given textbook to use and return it at the end of the semester.
