Zisu Kim joined the Ph.D. program in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems at Temple University in 2024. She holds an M.S. in Business Technology Management from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and a B.S. in Public Relations & Advertising from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Before pursuing her doctoral studies, Zisu worked as a researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI). There, she collaborated on projects with the Ministry of SMEs and Start-ups, focusing on technology commercialization through market research, feasibility studies, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Additionally, she was an Account Executive in the Online-to-Offline (O2O) Solution Group at HS Ad Inc., where she developed online-to-offline marketing strategies for LG Electronics and collaborated with LG-affiliated firms on strategic planning.
Zisu's research interests are focused on human-algorithm interaction, algorithm fairness, cybersecurity and privacy, and the business value of IT. She is particularly interested in how algorithms can be designed to ensure fairness and mitigate biases, as well as the challenges posed by cybersecurity and privacy in the digital age.
