Dr. Yang Yang is a Professor at the School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management, Temple University and serves as the Executive Director of the U.S.-Asia Center for Tourism and Hospitality Research. Recognized as a leading researcher in tourism economics and analytics, Dr. Yang specializes in tourism growth and demand modeling, location and financial analysis in the hospitality industry, and big data applications in tourism and hospitality.
Dr. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Geography, along with master’s degrees in Statistics and Economics from the University of Florida. With over 100 peer-reviewed articles published in SSCI-indexed journals, he has been consistently recognized among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide (2018-23) by Stanford University. He has also received the Outstanding Research Postgraduate Young Alumni Award from Hong Kong PolyU and is a Fellow of the International Association for China Tourism Studies. His prolific research output has earned him editorial positions as Associate Editor of Annals of Tourism Research and Corresponding Editor of the International Journal of Hospitality Management. Alongside his academic achievements, he brings extensive industry experience through a variety of consulting projects.
