Biography
Tom is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Finance Department teaching upper level undergraduate finance courses. Prior to joining the Fox School of Business faculty he was a Managing Director in the Valuation Advisory group of Stout an international valuation, investment banking and dispute consulting firm. He has thirty years of experience providing valuation and financial opinion related services to private equity firms and both private and public companies.
Tom has served numerous industries and has provided services to a broad client base, including middle market businesses, multi-billion-dollar enterprises, private equity funds, law firms and high-net-worth individuals. His primary focus was on services to private equity funds and their portfolio companies. His clients included some of the largest private equity firms in the world including Apollo Global Management, The Blackstone Group, Bain Capital, Thomas H. Lee Partners and Warburg Pincus.
Prior to joining Stout, Tom was a Senior Managing Director at Murray, Devine & Co., Inc., where he provided solvency and fairness opinions and valuations for financial reporting purposes, valuations for tax purposes, and litigation support services. He also worked for the Campbell Soup Company in the areas of audit, tax and treasury as well as in the hospitality industry and public accounting.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a Certified Management Accountant. He has an M.B.A. in finance from the Fox School of Business and a B.S. in accounting from Stockton University.
