Gregory Maughan is an associate director for business development at the Center for Executive Education in the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He brings an intrapreneurial spirit to his role at the center, along with two decades of experience in teaching and corporate facilitation.
Gregory has created, facilitated and led workshops for clients including Fortune 500 companies like Bank of America, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson and Verizon, and local organizations like Lincoln Financial, the Philadelphia 76ers and Wawa. He has also worked as a management and budget consultant for The PFM Group, where he focused on budgeting for organizations in financial distress and labor negotiations for clients ranging from the New York City Transit to the Detroit Public School System. Gregory started his career teaching middle school math and English in Camden, New Jersey, as a corps member with Teach for America.
Before joining the Fox School, he founded and ran his own theatre company. Philly Improv Theater was named to the Best of Philly list twice by Philadelphia Magazine, Gregory was named a “Creative Connector” by Leadership Philadelphia, and he testified before City Council on arts funding. In 2022, he handed day-to-day responsibilities for the business to a new management team.
Gregory received his master of public administration from the University of Pennsylvania while concurrently earning a bachelor of arts in history. He is also a member of several nonprofit boards including Leadership Philadelphia and Church of the Holy Trinity Rittenhouse Square (where he serves as co-chair). In his free time, Gregory enjoys leaving the city to be outdoors hiking and climbing—his most recent summit was Toubkal in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.
