Bianca Picardo played Division 1 basketball at the New Jersey Institute of Technology while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies. After two years as a student-athlete and a career-ending injury, her basketball career came to a close. Bianca transferred to the prestigious New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to finish her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television and a minor in Producing. During her studies at NYU, Bianca was recognized as a prestigious member of Tisch’s Honorary Scholars. Bianca furthered her education at Georgetown University where she expanded her network and earned a master’s degree in project management and a graduate certificate in Lean and Agile Practices.
During her career, she founded and developed two majorly successful companies, Beach Eatz and Topanga Entertainment. Beach Eatz is an iOS and Android mobile application specializing in food delivery right to your beach chair—expanding to multiple locations on the Jersey Shore. Bianca funded the early development of Beach Eatz through another startup, Topanga Entertainment, a digital media company working on social media and marketing projects all over the world. Additionally, since her father’s passing in 2002, philanthropy has become a major part of Bianca’s life. Inspired by her father’s legacy, she founded the Mark P. Picard Leukemia Foundation in his honor, a nonprofit that sponsors families who have gone through similar hardship.
During business hours, you can find her leveraging her project management skills at Merck & Co., where she has the privilege of being a SCRUM Master and Social Learning Experience Strategy and Execution Lead in Global Learning & Development.
